Cooking Classes in Montreal for Global Television

Yesterday I was back on Global Mornings Montreal to talk about where to learn to cut an onion (and/or make pad thai or homemade pasta or learn to break down a cut of lamb) in Montreal. Because putting food on the table fast really comes down to knife skills and having go-to recipes most of the time.

I mentioned Southeast Asian cooking classes with Les Cuisines Tanha (all vegetarian, taught in French and English) and Nantha’s Kitchen (English based);

Italian pizza, pasta, risotto and regional cuisine with Elena Faita at Mezza Luna (there are also a ton of guest chefs from Montreal restaurants);

Les Touilleurs with its butchery and knife sharpening classes (also lots of cuisine types and Montreal guest chefs);

And the seemingly always sold out knife skills classes at Appetite for Books, where you can get on the waitlist or the newsletter to hear about the winter classes.

I also mentioned Airbnb, because even though the chefs in the cooking classes listed on the travel site aren’t always pros, the range of cuisine and the local experience is going to be unique, even if you’re acting as a tourist in your own city.

Happy cooking!
